Since its inception in May 2007, The Luneta Seafarer’s Center has become
the convergence point for Shipowners, manning agencies, and the world class
Filipino Seafarer. What was once an ordinary sidewalk where Filipino Seafarers
have been victimized and exposed to all kinds of negative elements has now
been transformed into a Center envied by seafaring nations around the world. |

The Luneta Seafearer’s Center is home to more than 100 manning agencies
conducting recruitment activities regulated by both the National and local
governments, it also houses satellite offices of the POEA, MARINA, OWWA
(these are government agencies tasked in helping uplift the welfare of the
Filipino Seafarers). |

The Center also houses manning training centers, remittances services travel
agencies, banking and insurance facilities to service the financial needs of the
Filipino Seafarers.
For welfare services, the Luneta Seafarer Center has a subsidized dormitory,
free airport shuttle services, medical assistance services and counseling advice.
The Luneta Seafarer Center is unique because there is no other place like it in
the world. |

The Luneta Seafarers’ Welfare Fountain,Inc. (LUSWELF) would like to invite
your prestigious corporation to be a member of the Center of sea-based
manpower in the Philippines. LUSWELF is the organization that operates and
manages The Luneta Seafarer’s Center, a 5,000 square meter sprawling
complex situated in the heart of the City of Manila, the manning capital of the
world. On a daily basis, no less than 1,000 seafarers congregate at the Center
to apply for work, ask for government assitance, or just to mingle with one
another. |
